Bio:
April Jensen’s life revolves around the visual arts. She is a recognized Waterloo-based painter and illustrator who also manages a thriving art store and gallery.
April has a breadth of artistic knowledge and skill accumulated over years. Through her work as an art store and gallery manager, she inspires her customers and fellow artists and they in turn inspire her.
April works in many media but predominantly in acrylic, ink, and gold leaf.
Through her paintings, she conveys a sense of urgency for change and growth, using dreams as a source of inspiration along with her desire to strengthen bonds between human and animal life.
April has exhibited her work at the Toronto Outdoor Art Festival. Her paintings and drawings have been featured in local magazines and are on permanent exhibit in the People’s Gallery in Waterloo.
